l WITH reference to the dispute regarding the future of Didcot’s cooling towers, I would suggest that the following compromise might well be in order.
Demolish all the cooling towers except one. This would free up a large amount of land for future development.
Convert the remaining cooling tower into an enclosed viewing platform with cafeteria facilities – in short a mini-London Post Office Tower.
This could serve as a memorial to the power station and provide superb views for the public to enjoy.
