Art teacher Vicky Hirsch, from Botley, goes online to donate £30 to the Ashmolean Museum ’s Manet campaign and her donation, the last made before the deadline closed, helps save the painting from being sold abroad.
How fitting then that Ms Hirsch, together with her 11-year-old daughter, should be asked to unveil the painting.
