MANY people regret leaving their book on a bus but Oxfordshire author Liz Harris is delighted it has happened to her first novel.

Watlington-based Ms Harris’s debut romantic novel, The Road Back, has been chosen as one of the books to be placed on National Express routes to the four major London airports to put passengers in the holiday mood.

She said: “They say a good book takes you on a journey and so this is very fitting. This really is the icing on the cake for me.”

As well as services to Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted from Oxford, the books, published by independent publishing house Choc Lit, will be also be placed on airport routes departing from other key locations.

Passengers will be able to pick up free copies of the book while travelling to the airport and take them away to enjoy on their holiday.
