I HAVE no objection to the millions of pounds being planned to improve facilities for cyclists (Oxford Mail, August 4) provided they are used.
I recently caught up with a cyclist on a busy main road, although there was a perfectly good cycle track alongside him.
When I had managed to pass him I pointed to the cycle track in case he thought it was a footpath and therefore, of course, forbidden to cyclists.
He raised his hand in acknowledgment and I think was trying to indicate there were two cycle tracks. I can only assume he was including the one on the opposite side of the road.
