Younis Ward , 18, of Nye Bevan Close, Oxford, admitted handling stolen goods, namely a black mountain bike valued at £1,400, in Oxford on August 12 last year. Told to attend an attendance centre for 36 hours and pay £200 costs.

Michael Trinder , 21, of Herschel Crescent, Oxford, admitted shoplifting various goods to an unknown value from Co-op in Old Marston Road on March 27 and shoplifting various items to an unknown value at the same store on March 29. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay £25 costs.

Luke Newell , 37, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted shoplifting mobile phone accessories from Tesco in Cowley Road, Oxford, on June 25 and failing to surrender to court bail on June 26. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £25 costs.

Bradley Dixon , 18, of Stonhouse Crescent, Radley, admitted assault by beating in Abingdon on April 1. Given a year’s supervision and told to attend the ‘managing alcohol-related aggression’ activity for 11 days. Told to pay £35 compensation.

Thomas Haines , 20, of Worcester Place, Southmoor, admitted drink- driving in Preston Road, Abingdon, on July 1. Had 94 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £200, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for two years.
