A PUBLIC consultation meeting on the plan for Oxfordshire’s major hospitals to become an NHS Foundation Trust will be held on Tuesday in Chipping Norton.
Foundation trusts are part of the NHS but independent bodies, run by a board of governors including patients, staff and members of the public.
The Oxford University Hospitals trust wants to seek foundation trust status and is seeking the views of county residents.
The Government wants all NHS care providers to gain foundation trust status by 2014.
The meeting, at the town hall in Chipping Norton's Market Place, starts at 6pm.
