WHEN the Co-op nursery was built on the skateboard park, in Blackbird Leys Park, Cuddesdon Way/Pegasus Road, £60,000 was set aside to create a new one.
Since then a site has been earmarked in Frys Hill for the new one.
Consultations have taken place and it would appear that those residents nearby are happy with it. So where is it? It was supposed to have been completed for the summer of 2012. No wonder the youngsters are unhappy and hang around the streets with their bikes.
Their skateboard park seems to have vanished.
Finances are in place, the site is there, so how come we’re still waiting?
Come on city councillors, pull your fingers out.
Do what you promised and give the youngsters somewhere to practice.
And anyone who wants to question councillors, the Leys Forum will be on Wednesday, August 8, at the Barn on Greater Leys.
This gives you time to organise a demonstration showing your annoyance to them.
