A WOMAN has been taken to hospital with serious leg, back and head injuries following a crash on the Northern Bypass this morning.
Police said one lane of the westbound carriageway near the Cutteslowe Roundabout was closed, although other traffic information sites say the whole northbound carriageway closed. There are severe delays in the area.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said the woman was a passenger in a red Fiesta Zetec that hit a power box.
She was taken to the John Racliffe Hospital, where her condition is believed to be serious.
One witness said the car had left the road and ended up on the neighbouring cycle path.
Emergency services are still at the scene to remove the vehicle. No one else is believed to be injured.
