WHAT a wonderful idea: means test OAPs before they get their free bus passes, free prescriptions, free TV licences and winter heating allowances!
Why not means test their old age pension as well, because most of us will have no need for money.
With no free bus pass, we will be unable to go out and spend it, and with no heating allowance we will probably all be dead!
But why stop there? Why not means test MPs and councillors before paying them allowances and expenses? Means test bankers before giving them golden handshakes of £2m for getting caught out and resigning in shame, not to mention the bonuses they get for failing to do the job they are paid a fortune to do.
