THE Memorial Bell at the Carterton garden of remembrance has tolled for the first time.
The bodies of three servicemen killed in Afghanistan have been repatriated and will shortly brought through the Memorial Garden area.
The new Memorial Bell was unveiled last weekend and was sounded for the first time a few minutes ago as the families of the fallen took up their places at the roadside.
