Tomahawk Theatre, an Oxford company long noted for the high quality of its work, returns to the wonderful setting of the Oxford Castle courtyard next week for a new production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the stage’s greatest tale of doomed passion.
Samuel Plumb and Chloe Orrock take on the roles of the young lovers, whose passion is blighted by a fierce feud between their respective families.
Tomahawk promises a “sumptuous, elegant and dynamic” production.
Though it will feature song and dance, the company principally aims to celebrate the beautiful language of the play.
Performances begin on Monday and continue until July 14.
Tickets are available at the website (www.oxfordcastleunlocked.co.uk) or by telephone: 01865 260 666.
