VOLUNTEER centres across Oxfordshire have been jointly recognised for their work.
Cherwell Community and Voluntary Service and Volunteer Bureau, Volunteer Centre Oxfordshire and Volunteer Link Up have been given the Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation by Volunteering England.
The assessment measures how well a centre delivers its service and its ability to “create an environment within which volunteering can flourish”.
Lindsay Watts, pictured, manager of Volunteer Centre Oxfordshire which is part of Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action, said: “We are delighted to have achieved Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation and are proud that Volunteering England believes we are taking quality seriously.
“Working as a partnership with the other volunteer centres in the county has been really useful to share good practice and make sure customers receive a consistent, quality service.”
During the last financial year the three centres had more than 3,000 applications to volunteer across Oxfordshire.
