In yesterday's edition we reported on a union protest march due to take place in Oxford.

City council leader Bob Price said he had been told up to 10,000 people would turn up for the march on Saturday, July 14.

It is expected that the National Union of Teachers, National Association of Women Teachers and the Oxford and District Trades Union Council will take part.

However we failed to fully report comments by Gawain Little, secretary of the local branch of the NUT, when he was asked about expected attendance.

Although Mr Little said he was unable to confirm how many would attend the rally – one of only two in the country – he expected numbers to be up to 600.
