OXFORD: Two men charged with murder have had their custody time limits extended.
Daniel McCollin, 30, of Blay Close, Blackbird Leys, and Wayne Cattell, 36, of Mortimer Road, Rose Hill, deny killing 39-year-old Denis Witney in St Clement’s last November.
The pair, who were charged that month, have been in custody ever since.
At Oxford Crown Court yesterday Judge Patrick Eccles further extended the six-month custody time limit, until their trial, which is expected to start on November 12.
A third defendant, Joanne Moriarty, 29, also of Mortimer Road, also denies murder and will stand trial at the same time.
She too remains in custody but was charged at a later date.
