IT comes as no surprise that the League of Friends is being used as a cash cow by the John Radcliffe Hospital bean counters (Oxford Mail, May 23).

To compound this, those responsible for this deny any such exploitation has taken place, only to be found out thanks to the Oxford Mail.

Is all this to clear the way for Carillion to take over the service rendered at the hospital by the League of Friends?
