SO now we hear it again – Strasbourg judges getting involved in British law and saying prisoners should be allowed to vote.
Well, it was and always has been “break the law and if you go to prison you lose all your rights”.
Prisoners have known this for years. Rightly so, you should only have rights when you are a free person. You can run a quiet prison, but it doesn’t take much to wind prisoners up.
That is exactly what these Strasbourg judges will do. It’s about time Cameron told these judges where to go and keep their noses out of the British justice system.
If we give in to this demand, then it will be the start of a dictatorship from Strasbourg and there’s no saying how things will end up.
