THE ‘kept-secret’ proposals that would take away employees’ job protection has come to light.
Top Conservatives say that it is acceptable for an employer, simply because he or she doesn’t like a person, to sack them – it doesn’t matter if they are the best, most reliable, hard working person in the company, go ahead and fire them.
If implemented into law, no one would be safe in their job; no one would, or could, freely speak out if something an employee was being asked to do was hazardous, dangerous or illegal. If you express any objection you’d be out of a job. This in no way helps build a better or more constructive economy.
Companies, in order to reduce costs, could sack all their employees and take on a new group of people, while offering lower wages. Such suggestions and ideas are the creations of idiots, in my opinion.
