Witney Town were riding high in the football world when these pictures were taken.
We believe they date from the 1951-2 season when the team won the Oxfordshire Benevolent Cup, the Oxfordshire Senior League Shield and the Oxfordshire Charity Cup.
The Benevolent Cup, the one of the left in both pictures, was the largest trophy ever made at any level of English football, standing nearly three feet high, much bigger than even the FA Cup.
The pictures come from Joyce Croft, whose husband Gilbert was the club secretary.
The following season was even more successful for Witney, with four trophies to their name. They won the Oxfordshire Senior Cup, beating Headington (now Oxford) United 2-1 at the Iffley Road rugby ground.
They also retained the Oxfordshire Senior League Shield and the Oxfordshire Charity Cup, and won the Marriott’s Cup.
Names Mrs Croft remembers are club treasurer Cyril Miles, goalkeeper and later club chairman Aubrey Oakey, and three men called Grant, Mills and Print.
Can anyone name any more? No doubt someone will be able to tell us.
