It’s not often we get such a vivid example of helping causes abroad.
But yesterday Edao Weliy set a new record at Oxford’s annual Town & Gown, coming under 30 minutes.
The 25-year-old Ethopian was helped in his training by Running Across Borders, set up by Oxford University graduates Garrett Ash and Malcolm Anderson.
Their giving spirit exemplified the 3,000 strong crowd of visitors who raised £12,000 for muscular dystrophy research.
