Two men and one woman all denied murdering a man found dying in the street when they appeared before a judge.
Daniel McCollin, 30, Wayne Cattell, 36, and Joanne Moriarty, 29, all pleaded not guilty to the killing of 39-year-old Denis Witney.
Mr Witney was barely alive when he was discovered in St Clement’s Street in Oxford on November 9 last year. He was rushed to the John Radcliffe Hospital but died shortly afterwards.
McCollin, Cattell and Moriarty spoke only to give their “not guilty” pleas as they stood in the dock at Oxford Crown Court yesterday.
They had been expected to stand trial in July, but this was provisionally put back until November 12. McCollin, of Blay Close, Blackbird Leys, Cattell, of Mortimer Road, Rose Hill, and Moriarty, also of Mortimer Road, sat in the dock as issues surrounding their trial date were discussed.
Each was remanded to custody after the hearing.
