TWO more Oxfordshire rivers are on flood alert, with the Evenlode and the Glyme now covered by Environment Agency warnings.

And the alert on the River Cherwell has been extended this morning to cover the section between Upper Heyford and Oxford.

The alert on the Evenlode applies on the full length of the river, from Moreton-in-Marsh in Gloucestershire to Cassington, including the Wychwoods villages and Charlbury.

First Great Western train services between Didcot Parkway, Bristol Parkway and South Wales are being disrupted by flooding, with the line between Swindon and Bristol Parkway closed due to water on the tracks.

Trains are being diverted via Bath and Bristol Temple Meads, adding up to 50 minutes to journey times. The line is expected to remain closed for the rest of the day.
