The number of people out of work and claiming benefit in Oxfordshire dropped last month by 168 to 8,080, or 1.9 per cent of the working age population.
The month-on-month drop was recorded in all five districts across the county but is up by 116 on the same month last year.
Nationally the claimant count rose by 3,600 in March to 1.61 million according the Office of National Statistics.
