MORRIS dancers from across Oxfordshire are set to descend on Oxford Castle as part of a Folk Weekend.
The festival, which runs from Friday to Sunday, includes everything from harp workshops to Elizabethan dance, along with the best in folk music, plus a healthy dose of Morris dancing.
Festival director Cat Kelly said: “What is fantastic about Folk Weekend is the way that the whole community is pulling together to make it exciting for everyone.
“We have had an overwhelming response from Morris dancers to perform at Oxford Castle Quarter and, with names like Old Speckled Hen, Hip and Haws, Masons Apron and Stony Steppers, it’ll be a really fun day out for the whole family.”
Richard Stevens, pictured with his dog Joey, will be dancing with the Wantage-based Icknield Way Morris Men.
Mr Stevens said: “I am very much looking forward to it. It will be a good craic.”
