THIS may not be popular, but press-ganging volunteers into running schemes like transport for the elderly is now an almost unavoidable reality.
Let’s be honest about The Big Society – it’s just a Government catchphrase to sugarcoat. Members of the community will have to start providing services that central or local government used to take care of. But whatever your political viewpoint, the cuts are here and the choice is stark. Either help or see services disappear completely.
