IT PROVED to be trouble in paradise, but these actors will be hoping life won’t imitate art.

A production of Lord of the Flies is being staged around Oxford Castle from Thursday.

Director Charlie Parker said: “The performance moves around the castle to three separate locations.”

The play is taking place in the castle’s yard as well as on the mound and the audience will have to move with the performance.

Actor Chris Fallen, centre, who plays Maurice Walsh, was looking forward to the fact that the audience becomes involved in the play.

He said: “We get to move the audience into the same skin that we have through using torches, fires and chants.”

Lord of the Flies, written by William Golding, tells the story of a group of schoolboys who find themselves deserted on an uninhabited island in the Pacific and try to govern themselves, with disastrous results.
