They say you should never meet your hero, but that did not deter children at Blenheim Palace this weekend.

Dozens of delighted youngsters queued up to meet cartoon character Peppa Pig and friends at the palace.

Among them was four-year-old Robyn Hulme-Cross from Iffley. Her mum Katrina said: “It was nice, in spite of the weather. Robyn is a big fan, so we went to Blenheim especially.

“I think she was a bit confused, as the costumes were a bit different from the cartoon, but we had a lovely day.”
