A move to build a new £15m leisure centre at Didcot looks set to be approved by South Oxfordshire District Council’s cabinet on Thursday.
The meeting will be recommended to approve outline proposals and agree to release £60,000 to begin a feasibility study and procurement work.
The new centre is expected to include a swimming pool, sports hall, squash courts, and fitness facilities.
Construction could start in late 2014 and the centre could be opened two years later.
A location for the centre is yet to be decided.
