A corner of Oxford was ablaze with music, colour and dancing this weekend, as the Nepalese community celebrated their New Year.
Dozens of residents descended on the Roman Way Social Club, Cowley, for an evening of celebrations on Saturday.
Chitra Thapa, spokesman for Nepalese Community Oxfordshire, said: “It was really good fun. We had more than 200 people come and celebrate with us.
“It was a lot of people and all of them were dancing on the floor.
“We had excellent food and everyone was having a good time.”
The Nepali year, which is entering its 2069th year, officially begins next Saturday.
