A 25-year-old woman from Oxford was killed in a collision between a van and a lorry on the A420 near Buckland yesterday.
The woman, who was driving a small Citroen van, died at the scene just before 9am, an ambulance service spokesman said.
The DAF truck driver was checked by paramedics at the roadside but did not need treatment.
The A420 was closed in both directions between the Buckland Road junction and the B4508 following the crash at Pusey Woods.
It took more than six hours for officers from the roads policing department to make the scene safe, carry out an investigation and clear metal sheeting which spilled from the lorry in the crash.
The road was eventually reopened to traffic at 3.45pm.
The section of the busy road is a notorious accident blackspot.
On March 15, four car collided on the A420 close to the Bampton turn.
And on December 27 last year two cars crashed on the same section of the road, by the Little Chef restaurant.
