Improved cross-border criminal record checks should be introduced, according to Liberal Democrat MEP Catherine Bearder.
She has called on the European Commission to explain what checks are in place after Jonathan Limani was jailed for life on Monday after killing his boss Christopher Varian with a cheese knife at The Oxfordshire Golf Club, near Thame, on August 21, 2010.
