ONLINE registration for this year’s OX5 Run has now closed, but runners can still turn up and register on the day to raise funds for Oxford Children’s Hospital.

More than 800 runners have now signed up for the five-mile race on Sunday around the grounds of Blenheim Palace in Woodstock.

This is the 10th anniversary and organisers are hoping last-minute registrations will help them reach their target of 1,000 runners. If 1,000 runners raise £100 each, then £100,000 could be raised for new toys and equipment at the hospital.

Children’s Hospital spokesman Sarah Vaccari said: “Runners can still register in person on Sunday, but registration closes at 9.30am, so you need to come as early as possible.”

Chef Raymond Blanc will officially start the race with Oxford United chairman Kelvin Thomas at 10.30am, following a warm-up at 10am. To enter on the day, go to the registration tent at the Pleasure Gardens.
