I WANTED to suggest that some of the problems with unemployment could be solved by offering the jobs which traditionally ask people to sign the 48-hour opt-out to two people.

Employing someone without a job would lessen the load for the person who would otherwise be asked to work more than 48 hours. After all, who in reality wants to work overtime?

It is simply a sign that a firm isn’t paying well.
