We often hear negative stories involving footballers and football clubs so I wish to bring some good news.
I recently wrote to Oxford United asking if my stepson could spend a match with their press team as he is interested in becoming a sports journalist.
On Saturday he did just that and had a brilliant time, really getting to see just what the matchday involves and even did the live “Twitter” feed for the Macclesfield game.
I wish to send a big thank-you to everyone at Oxford United FC, especially Simon Parker and Chris Williams, for the time they gave Oliver, my stepson, for making him feel part of the team for the day.
The advice and guidance he received has helped spark the passion for a future career.
