I AM amazed at how many telephone calls have to be made to get something done.
I have made five calls and a near-neighbour four, to the Oxfordshire County Council street lighting department to inform them that one of our street lights is not working.
It was first reported almost four weeks ago.
During my third call, the nice young lady on the other end went to check and came back to say the target date to fix the light was February 12.
I made a fourth call after that and was told it should have been fixed, but I was asked to telephone in a couple of days if it was still broken.
On my fifth call I was told by the nice young lady that she would get on to the SEB to fix it.
At the time of writing, six days after my fifth call, we are still waiting.
Has the council turned it off to save energy and is not telling us, I wonder!
