THE first full peal of bells has taken place at St Giles’ Church, Oxford, after they were retuned last year.
The “Plain Bob Major” ringing sequence started at 10am and finished at 1pm on Saturday. The eight bells were removed in August and retuned in a £56,000 restoration project before being put back in November.
