AT least 10 years ago, Japan decided that low interest rates were the answer to their woes – slump, unemployment.

Result? Low expenditure by the Japanese increased unemployment, with no end in sight even now.

Seeing this was a complete failure, the UK Government has copied the Japanese, discouraging savings, making saving for a pension a joke, working for a living a joke.

What a cunning plan!
