A 52-YEAR-OLD motorcyclist was killed after being involved in an accident with a family’s car near RAF Benson.
The smash in Preston Crowmarsh shut part of the A4074 Henley Road for more than five hours while investigators examined the scene.
The biker, from Wokingham, was declared dead at the scene of the crash after his red Honda VFR motorcycle collided with a blue Peugeot 206 at about 10.20am near the water treatment works.
Two ambulances were called and the motorist, a mother who was driving her children, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
A spokesman for the South Central Ambulance Service said the mother’s injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
The road was shut between the Benson and Crowmarsh Gifford roundabouts until late yesterday afternoon.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses. Call 101.
