A shopkeeper last night told of his ordeal after he was threatened at knife-point in a robbery.
A masked man wearing sunglasses entered the VCR Food and Wine store in Oxford Road, Littlemore, at about 9pm on Saturday and demanded cash after threatening the owner with what police believe was a Stanley knife.
Shop owner Sandeep Ambalapattutarambil, 34, said he handed over nearly £100 from the till in the robbery.
He said he had not been injured but was left shaken by the incident. He added: “I was scared.”
The robber, who was wearing a balaclava, left the store immediately.
He is described as white, middle-aged, of a large build, and was wearing jeans and a black jacket.
Thames Valley Police are now appealing to witnesses to come forward. Anyone with any information should call police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
