ABOUT 1,000 homes in Oxford were today without electricity after a power cut.
Southern Electric said about 600 homes in Marston and Headington had been reconnected by 4pm and it hoped to restore power to all homes by 8pm.
Spokesman Grahame Keddie said: “Engineers are doing everything they can to restore power. We would like to thank customers for their patience.”
