A man was found with a plastic gun and a fake beard on his way to a robbery.
Edward Stirling, 44, was also found in High Acres, Banbury, with a knife, a balaclava, 21 bundles of rope, a hammer and nails.
At Oxford Crown Court yesterday he admitted having an imitation firearm with intent to commit robbery and a bladed article.
Stirling, of Bath Road, Swindon, was remanded in custody to be sentenced on March 30.
