A team of forensic experts has been combing the scene of a suspected arson at a house in Cowley Road.
Fire crews were called to the empty property near the Cowley Road Methodist Church at around 3.45pm on Wednesday when the blaze broke out.
A 40-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of arson and then detained under the Mental Health Act later that evening.
