About 25 people turned up to a meeting organised by the Woodeaton Quarry Action Committee on Thursday night in Beckley Village Hall.
The group is fighting plans to fill the quarry with 520,000 tonnes of rubble.
Those at the meeting included applicant Michael McKenna, of McKenna Plant Hire, and Henley MP John Howell.
Campaigners vowed to continue opposing the plans.
A decision on the bid could be made by Oxfordshire County Council in April.
