People convicted of offences at magistrates' courts around the county recently.

OXFORD

* Joshua Bayley, 19, of Youens Drive, Thame, convicted of receiving stolen goods, namely an Xbox 360 and six games valued at £350, between July 3 and 7 in Thame. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay £200 costs.

* Shams Karim, 32, of Lawrence Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting boxer shorts, a jumper and a T-shirt valued at £128 from Debenhams in Oxford on November 21. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 costs.

* Benny Sutton, 24, of Blacknall Road, Abingdon, admitted assault by beating in Abingdon on November 6. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay £65 costs.

* Dharam Pal, 30, of Maidcroft Road, Oxford, admitted drink driving in Donnington Bridge Road, Oxford, on October 26. Namely having 95 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Told to do 120 hours’ unpaid work and pay £65 costs. Banned from driving for three years.

* Tracy Gould, 41, of Main road, Alvescot, admitted failing to give a roadside breath test in Abingdon on August 26. Fined £125, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs. Banned from driving for a year.

* Leon Mulcahy-Spring, 22, of Park View, Crowmarsh, admitted possessing ketamine (Class C) in Oxford on September 30 and failing to surrender to bail on November 2 and December 7. Fined £120, and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £30 costs.

* Michael O’Leary, 27, of Red Bridge Hollow, Oxford, admitted shoplifting clothes worth £173.96 from Sports Direct in Oxford on October 19. Given 90 hours’ unpaid work.

* Otman Lamzini, 18, of Jourdain Road, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis (Class B) in Oxford on December 22. Fined £50, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

* Gary Peck, 44, of Samphire Road, Oxford, admitted possessing and cultivating cannabis (Class B) in Oxford on October 14. Fined £75, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £25 costs.

* Terry Smith, 35, of Marlborough Road, Oxford, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Florence Park Road, Oxford, on December 22 and criminally damaging a police cell on December 23. Fined £100, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Told to pay £65 compensation.

* Michael Gleed, 23, of Ashdown Way, Grove, admitted possessing cannabis (Class B) and methylenedioxymethylamphetamine (Class A) in Wantage on October 16. Fined £200, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

* William MacBurnie, 20, of Main Road, Long Hanborough, admitted assaulting Pc Andrew Reid and being drunk and disorderly in Lava Ignite nightclub in Park End Street, Oxford, on November 5. Fined £600, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Also ordered to pay £200 compensation.

* Amjad Mohammed, 31, of no fixed address, admitted assaulting Pcso Mark Jones and assaulting Pc Knapman in Oxford on August 3 and failing to surrender to court bail on January 20. Fined £200, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

BANBURY

* Adam Maslanka, 27, of Lamberts Field, Bourton on the Water, convicted of assault by beating and admitted causing criminal damage to a car door in Kingham on March 16. Given an 18-week jail term, suspended for a year, and told to do 200 hours’ unpaid work and pay £482.50 costs and £450 compensation.

* Marcin Wirth, 25, of Talbot Square, Stow on the Wold, convicted of assault by beating in Kingham on March 16. Given an 18-week jail term, suspended for a year, and told to do 200 hours’ unpaid work and pay £482.50 costs and £250 compensation.

* Stuart Hossack, 38, of Winter Gardens Way, Banbury, admitted attempting to steal from a car in Banbury on January 30. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £50 compensation.

* Sean Lewis, 21, of Station Road, Cropredy, Banbury, admitted drink driving in Horsefair, Banbury, on January 15. Namely having 67 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £230, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 17 months.

* Jasper Graham-Jacobs, 22, of Devonshire Road, London, admitted fraud by false representation and possessing an article for use in fraud in Bicester on December 8 by purchasing £144 of goods with a credit card. Given 60 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £60 costs.

* Ian Liversidge, 20, of RAF Brize Norton admitted driving without insurance, without a licence and drink driving on the A40 at Carterton on December 1. Namely having 50 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £320, and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for a year.

* Adam Cooper, 24, of Causeway, Banbury, admitted harassment in Shenington between November 12 and 17 by removing his trousers in front of and in view of a woman twice while on a bus with her. Given 12 months’ supervision.

* Adam Winch, 42, of Hempton Road, Deddington, convicted of two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Banbury on June 29 and July 4. Given a one-year restraining order against both victims and banned from entering the Co-op in Deddington for a year. Fined £750, ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £400 costs. Also told to pay £200 compensation.

* Darren Pepper, 44, of Grimsbury Drive, Banbury, admitted shoplifting food from Co-op in Banbury on November 20 and breach of a conditional discharge. Fined £45, and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
