THE recall of Mini Cooper S and John Cooper Works Minis built in Cowley between 2006 and 2011 is going “smoothly” according to parent company BMW.
BMW spokesman Sarah Heaney said: “We have about 30,000 UK customers to contact. There has been a trickle of owners wondering what to do, but we ask them to wait for their letter and then act accordingly.”
The company issued a worldwide recall of 235,000 cars over a problem with the water pump attached to the turbo charger.
