A 15-YEAR-OLD girl was sexually assaulted in Headington, Oxford.

The girl was walking along Quarry Road at about 7.50pm on Monday, when a man began following her, police said today.

He asked the girl questions before pushing her against a fence and sexually assaulting her.

The teenager managed to push the man away and ran to a friend’s house, before reporting the incident to police yesterday.

Her attacker is black, 6ft 1in, aged between 25 and 30, of slim build, with dark stubble around his chin and upper lip. His right eye looked injured and swollen.

He was wearing a hooded top with a coat on top that appeared to be waterproof, and dark-coloured trousers.

Pc Rachel Linzey said: “The victim saw the man being stopped by a driver at the junction of Margaret Road and Quarry Road shortly before the incident.

“The driver was a blonde woman, driving a new-style blue Ford Fiesta, and she asked for directions to Old Road. We are keen to speak to her.

“I would also like to hear from anyone else who may recognise the description of the man.

“The possible injury to his right eye is very distinctive and I believe someone out there will know who this is.”

Anyone with information should contact Pc Linzey on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously 0800 555111.
