Police have closed Oxford Road in Abingdon following a collision involving a bus and a car.
The accident happened at 11.55am today close to the junction with Abbott Road and involved a Ford Fusion and an Oxford Bus Company bus.
Thames Valley Police spokesman Rebecca Webber said the driver of the car was seriously injured in the crash and has been taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
She added that the road remained closed while the vehicles are being recovered.
Operations director of Oxford Bus Company Louisa Weeks said: “We have launched an immediate inquiry into the accident.
“No-one on the bus was seriously injured although we understand a woman has been taken to hospital as a precaution.”
