A BURST water main which left hundreds of homes without water this morning has now been fixed.

Engineers spent hours this morning trying to solve the problem in a field near Burford Road in Carterton.

Thames Water spokesman Becky Johnson said: “Customers should see their water pressure start to return to normal.

“We did everything we could to get water back on as quickly as possible, and we are really sorry to anyone who has been inconvenienced as a result of this.”

The company received more than 200 complaints this morning from residents in Carterton and Minster Lovell.
