POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was knocked unconscious and two other people hurt when they were attacked in Banbury High Street early on New Year’s Day.
The incident happened between 12.30am and 1.30am outside the Post Office.
The teenager, aged 18, was knocked out, a 26-year-old woman was hit in the face and a 29-year-old man suffered cuts and bruising to his face.
Their attacker is described as a black man, who was 5ft 8in tall, aged in his early 20s, slim, with cropped dark hair and was wearing a purple checked shirt. He ran off along the alleyway between the Post Office and KFC.
Pc Ray Wood said there would have been a lot of people in the area at the time and appealed for anyone with information to call him on the non-emergency police number, 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
