PLANS for Wantage Tennis Club to move to the Manor Road Memorial Park, and take over the two public courts and build four more courts and a pavilion, are to go on show.
Under a deal with Vale of White Horse District Council the club will be given a long-term lease and responsibility for maintenance.
The proposals will be on display at Wantage Civic Hall, in Portway, from 9am tomorrow.
Elaine Ware, the district council cabinet member for economy, leisure and property, said: “We believe that a new site could provide a major boost in terms of improved tennis facilities for the local community, but are keen to provide an opportunity for residents to see what’s being proposed.”
