A TEAM of 25 pupils, parents and staff from Our Lady’s School in Abingdon raised £2,000 for children’s hospice Helen and Douglas House in the annual Santas on the Run event.
The team joined 1,200 people running through the streets of Oxford dressed as Father Christmas on Sunday.
It is hoped £40,000 will be raised for the cause overall.
Junior school headteacher Brendan O’Neill said: “One of our Year Six pupils suggested the school put in a team of Santas for the first time this year and we are all delighted with the amount of money they have raised.”
